Punjab University organizes bilingual declamation contest

Lahore, May 22 (Online): Punjab University Directorate of Students Affairs has organized Interdepartmental Bilingual Declamation Contest 2014 at Centre for Undergraduate Studies’ Al-Raazi Hall in which almost 60 students from various departments participated.

On this occasion, Director Students Affairs Shahid Mehmood Gul, Deputy Director Zubair Akram, faculty members and a large number of students were present.Punjab University organizes bilingual declamation contest

Students from University Law College Syed Sabtain Raza and Farheen Azhar have shown outstanding performance in contests and won Team Trophy.

In English Declamation contests students including Syed Sabtain Raza from University Law College clinched 1st position, Tajmeel from Institute of Chemical Engineering got 2nd position and Rameesha from College of Pharmacy grabbed 3rd position while Sehar Batool from Center for Clinical Psychology and Kinza Khan from Institute of Business Administration won appreciation awards.

In Urdu Declamation Contest students including Usman Aqeel from Institute of Business Administration got 1st position, Huzaifa Anwar from College of Engineering grabbed 2nd position and Yasir Rasheed from Institute of Communication Studies clinched 3rd position while Farheen Azhar from University Law College and Muhammad Talha from Institute of Business and Information Technology won appreciation awards.

Fahed Ali Kazmi, Humaira Tariq, Ahmed Suhail Basra, Shamoon Ahmed Shah, Ijaz Ahmad, Tauseef Sabeeh Gondal and Syed Ghulam Mohiuddin were the jury members of competitions. Later, awards, prizes and shields were distributed among successors.
